How to install Joplin in Fedora 35

Joplin is not in the Fedora software center.

First I tried installing Joplin using Snap and the following commands:

sudo dnf install snapd

sudo ln -s /var/lib/snapd/snap /snap

sudo snap install joplin

But that only gave me Joplin in the terminal?

So I found a command to put into the terminal.

wget -O – https://raw.githubusercontent.com/laurent22/joplin/dev/Joplin_install_and_update.sh | bash

And that worked.

Update

Did a re install of Fedora. And after that, the above mentioned solution did not work.

So I justs installed Joplin as a Flatpack from Flathub.

How to install Vivaldi browser on Fedora 35.

The Vivaldi browser seems not to be in the software center of Fedora 35. So you have to installe it using the terminal.

The folowering commands helped me:

sudo dnf install dnf-utils

sudo dnf config-manager –add-repo https://repo.vivaldi.com/archive/vivaldi-fedora.repo

sudo dnf install vivaldi-stable

And voila, it works 🙂

Har valgt at lære Fedora bedre at kende som styresystem.

Så nu er Ubuntu Mate på min primær lege pc overskrevet med Fedora 35.

Ind til videre er jeg ok tilfreds, ud over at opstarten stadigvæk er langsom. Min pc er en laptop med traditionel harddisk.

Og jeg synes at sammenlignet med Ubuntu, så er programmer lidt svære at installerer og tager længere tid. Det første er nok bare tilvænding.
